Something your child made is sitting on the kitchen table. A rocket, a dog, a nameplate with their own name on it — and they designed every part of it.

Shape Craft lets children aged 6–12 build in 3D, then unfold what they built into a paper model they can print, cut out and glue together. It works with no internet at all, shows no ads, and collects nothing about your child.

From an idea to something you can both hold

They start with a box, a tube, a ball. They stretch them, join them, carve holes, round the corners, draw on the surface. In a few minutes it is a rocket, or a dog, or a present for grandma.

Then the part that makes it theirs: they unfold it. The app turns the 3D shape into a paper net. Print it, cut along the solid lines, fold the dotted ones, glue the tabs — and the thing on the screen is a thing in your hands.

The maths is real, and so is the making

This is the geometry children meet at school — faces, edges, vertices, nets, cross-sections — except they are building with it instead of filling in a worksheet.

• Cut a cube and see the cross-section: a square, a triangle, a hexagon
• Open a solid into its net and count the faces before folding
• Three views (top, front, side) shown beside the 3D shape
• Choose how hard the paper model is to build: Easy, Medium or Hard
• Export for a 3D printer or laser cutter, when you have one
